The Vortex Diamondback HD Straight Spotting Scope combines detailed HD optics with variable magnification for birdwatching and wildlife observation. Available in 16–48x65 and 20–60x85 configurations, the range offers a choice between a more portable scope for regular outings and a larger model for studying distant subjects across open landscapes.

The straight eyepiece provides a direct viewing position that makes aligning the scope with a bird or animal intuitive. Fully multi-coated lenses, helical focusing and ArmorTek® exterior lens protection complement a durable, waterproof and fogproof body built for outdoor observation.

The Diamondback HD optical system uses selected glass elements to reduce colour fringing and deliver natural colour reproduction with clear detail. This helps observers examine plumage, distinguish identifying markings and appreciate wildlife from a comfortable distance.

Variable magnification allows you to begin with a wider view to locate your subject, then increase the zoom for closer examination. This flexibility is useful when moving between watching a group of birds and studying an individual.

The straight viewing layout is convenient for looking towards subjects at a similar height. It also works well for observation from a hide or vehicle using a suitable support, helping you move naturally from unaided viewing to the magnified image.

Fully multi-coated lenses improve light transmission. ArmorTek® protects external lens surfaces against scratches, oil and dirt, while the helical focusing mechanism maintains a streamlined profile for packing and handling.

Argon purging and O-ring seals provide waterproof and fogproof performance. Rubber armouring adds grip and exterior protection, and the shockproof construction supports regular use in the field.

The mounting foot attaches directly to compatible Arca-Swiss tripod heads. Other tripod or car-window mounting systems may require an adapter.
