The Vortex Diamondback HD Angled Spotting Scope brings distant birds and wildlife into clear view, combining HD optics with adjustable magnification. Available in 16–48x65 and 20–60x85 configurations, it offers a choice between a more portable observation scope and a larger model for examining distant subjects across open landscapes.

Both versions feature an angled eyepiece, helical focusing and fully multi-coated lenses. ArmorTek® exterior lens protection, rubber armouring and waterproof, fogproof construction make the Diamondback HD a dependable companion for birdwatching, nature reserve visits and extended wildlife observation.

Further Information

The Diamondback HD optical system uses selected glass elements to reduce colour fringing and reproduce natural colours with clear detail. This helps observers distinguish plumage patterns, study identifying markings and enjoy a closer view of wildlife.

Variable magnification lets you start with a wider view to find your subject, then increase the zoom for closer examination. When watching birds across a reservoir or estuary, this flexibility helps you move between observing groups and studying individual birds.

The angled eyepiece supports comfortable viewing from a tripod, particularly during longer sessions. It also makes sharing the scope between observers of different heights convenient, with less need to reposition the tripod.

Fully multi-coated lenses improve light transmission, while ArmorTek® protects external lens surfaces against scratches, oil and dirt. Helical focusing keeps the body streamlined for packing and handling.

Argon purging and O-ring seals provide waterproof and fogproof performance. Protective rubber armouring adds grip, and the shockproof construction supports regular outdoor use.

An Arca-Swiss compatible foot allows direct attachment to suitable tripod heads. Other tripod or car-window mounting systems may require an adapter.
