Bring your Garden to Life: Meet the Feathersnap Smart WiFi Bird Feeder
A new way to watch, learn and share the wonder of garden birds
Imagine this: you’re relaxing indoors, perhaps enjoying a cup of tea or reading a book, and outside your window a procession of colourful garden birds flit and feed.
Thanks to the Feathersnap Smart WiFi Bird Feeder, you can bring this live show into your home — in high definition, with instant alerts, and a personal bird-watching log that you build yourself.
The Feathersnap in-house ornithologist worked alongside our development team to create a cutting-edge AI system that can recognise a vast range of British garden birds — from the familiar robin and blue tit to the less-common nuthatch or goldcrest.
Using machine-learning models trained on thousands of real-world bird images and recordings, the Feathersnap AI analyses each visitor’s shape, size, colour pattern, and even subtle behaviour cues such as feeding posture. Within moments, it identifies the species and logs the sighting automatically in your Bird Book, complete with photo and date.

A Live Connection to Nature with Wifi and Smart AI technology
- Live connection to nature: The feeder contains a WiFi-enabled camera so you can watch visiting birds in real time, straight to your smartphone or tablet.
- Capture the moments: Automatically or manually trigger high-definition photos and videos of your feathered guests — perfect for sharing, or simply saving your favourites.
- Learn as you watch: With built-in AI bird-identification you can discover which birds are coming to your garden, learn more about them, and build your own “Bird Book” of sightings.
- Designed for the outdoors: Built to withstand the elements, with a solar-powered roof to keep things running longer, you’ll enjoy year-round bird-watching with minimal fuss.
- Dual-seed chamber to attract variety: Offering two separate seed compartments means you can cater to different birds simultaneously — increasing the diversity of bird-visitors to your garden.
A Simple Setup for Big Rewards
- Mount the feeder in a visible spot — ideally with some natural cover nearby (bushes/trees) so birds feel safe, and at a distance from strong reflections or glass.
- Connect it to your WiFi (2.4GHz) and your phone and download the Feathersnap app.
- Choose your seed types — perhaps a mix of sunflower hearts in one chamber and general seed in the other to invite a wide range of species.
- Sit back, relax, and open your live feed or check alerts when guests arrive. Over time you’ll build up a gallery in your Bird Book — and delight in noticing patterns: which birds arrive when, how they feed, who visits after rainfall or early morning.
- Maintain the feeder by cleaning the seed chambers periodically (to keep things hygienic for your feathered friends) and ensuring the solar panel is receiving good sunlight.
