SPYPOINT FLEX-M2 Cellular Wildlife Camera - Further Information

The FLEX-M2 sends captured photographs and videos to the SPYPOINT mobile app, allowing wildlife activity to be reviewed without repeatedly visiting the camera. Users can also manage settings, organise camera locations using the in-app map and install compatible firmware updates remotely.

Dual-SIM technology provides multi-network connectivity without requiring the user to select a specific mobile network when purchasing the camera. The FLEX-M2 automatically connects to the strongest supported signal available in its location, helping maintain dependable communication in remote areas.

The camera records high-resolution photographs at up to 32MP and Full HD 1080p video with sound. A 0.4-second trigger speed and approximately 27-metre detection range allow it to respond quickly when an animal moves into view, while low-glow infrared illumination supports discreet night-time monitoring over a similar distance.

Multiple recording options allow the FLEX-M2 to be adapted to different wildlife observation projects. Multi-shot mode records a sequence of images following a detection, while Time-Lapse mode captures photographs at scheduled intervals. Time-Lapse+ combines interval photography with motion-triggered capture, helping record activity both inside and beyond the normal detection zone.

A reinforced outer housing, improved latch and weather-resistant design help protect the camera during extended outdoor installation. SPYPOINT states that the FLEX-M2 can operate for up to six months using eight AA batteries or up to twelve months with the optional LIT-22 rechargeable lithium battery pack, although actual operating time will vary according to settings, transmission frequency, signal strength and environmental conditions.

Every FLEX-M2 includes access to SPYPOINT’s free transmission plan, which provides up to 100 transmitted photographs per month. Optional paid plans are available for projects requiring a larger monthly allowance.
