Wildlife watchers and ecologists use night vision to observe nocturnal creatures in dark and low-light conditions. Today's technology brings affordable night vision to the market so that anyone can capture photos and video footage of these elusive animals. 

Night vision devices either use optoelectronics or a CMOS sensor to detect and amplify ambient light. This is processed to create a visible image on the display. 

Some devices have a ‘no-glow’ infrared illuminator to add light without disturbing animals.
